Sometime last week for lunch I was over at Hale and Hearty and had a great bowl of their Campfire Vegetarian Chili. In the mood for chili again today I got online and found the above recipe on Youtube.

As an aside, whenever I do a search - this is going to sound odd - but I never use Google first. I always start with Youtube then maybe I’ll Google it later. Strange?

Anyway, the recipe was so good, I even left a comment (and I rarely do that!). The only thing we added differently were the Bocca soy bean crumblers (1 bag) and 1 green and 1 red bell pepper. Add the crumblers in when you add in the diced tomatoes, sauce and paste. No need to precook the soy either because it’s already cooked; it will defrost and cook in with the chili as you continue making the recipe.

Mmmmm…delicious.

Sunday, winding down with the kids, the Mrs and I were watching The Devil Wears Prada. I’ve never seen the movie before so figured it would be a good way to spend a lazy evening before the chaos on Monday.

Only thing I have to say about the movie is, if that Melinda lady is representative of someone in real life…damn. But anyway, that’s not the point of this post. What really stuck out in my mind were two things:
1. my wife doesn’t seem to get that our current lifestyle is heavily dependent on a single side
2. if I want to take my career to that next level I may have to sacrifice personal life

Just installed the Wordpress iPhone app. Now I can keep this blog up to date no matter where I am. Wheeeee! Using it right now for this post. Very simple to use…probably better than using the site.

About to get back on the bike for some more fat-back attack. :P

Well it’s officially official, I’m back. This holiday season was a total blur: kids made out like bandits, Mrs. and I re-prioritized and work (recently) slowed down. Funny I would always come back to my blog hoping to see an update. Duh! I hope to not leave y’all hanging again. So with that, let’s catch up!

This year will be different. We all say that right? New year comes around and we get all caught up in the moment. But oddly, 2009 is my year to turn it around…I feel it. That’s not to say that I believe that somehow I’ll turn years of bad ideas and decisions around in 12 months. Rather, I slow down or stop my fall into the cyclical failure that is my current existence. The 180 may take a few years but now…this year…I make the pivot.
