That’s right friends, Apt 11 is back up and running. It’s taken quite a bit to get to this point. Not so much building or designing the site, but just time. Between work, freelance, being dad, being hubby and everything in the middle, it was hard to find the time to put anything together.
Here she is in all her magnificent post glory. Safari and Mac Firefox tested and approved. PC users, sorry, can’t help ya.
Cheers,

I tried avoiding it for so long but it was inevitable. I had reached my apex with riding the single speed and it was time for my foray into fixed gear riding. Now that I have ridden fixed for about a week and over 140 miles, I can confidently say I don’t think I’ll ride anything else (if I can avoid it). The control, the power, the speed, the workout…it’s very exhilarating. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly suggest giving it a go. And ignore what people say about bad knees, hard to get up hills, etc. Don’t listen to people that don’t ride fixed. Getting up hills is a cinch - going downhill can be a challenge until you get used to it.
Riding fixed will teach you how to truly ride a bike. Don’t believe me? Read this.
The question VW is asking of you is simple, when was the last time you really enjoyed the drive? Not the weekend cruise complicated by grandma’s on the way to bingo or soccer moms driving aimlessly in domestic branded tanks. This is about those hours when it’s just you, your car, a beginning with no end destination: it’s about the drive. It’s about the things you see that others don’t; the passion that no one else understands. The site offers up a poem from “Under Milk Wood” by Dylan Thomas and narrated by Richard Burton. I’ve yet to place where the music is from or if it is directly taken from the film. The video footage is seamless and beautiful. Kudos to the crew over at TribalDDB.
