I was two seconds away from pulling the trigger on this bike. The only thing that stopped me - well three things actually - were 1. technically I have a bike already (thanks Chris) 2. I want the green version and 3. (this is the big one) I really need to get something nice for The Mrs.

My wife has been making huge strides with her sewing business. The downside is her cheap, flimsy Singer sewing machine is slowing her down. I’m surprised she still makes fabulous pieces with this thing. I can only imagine what she could make if she had much better equipment. I want to surprise her with a new setup; the problem - I have no idea who the hell makes a good sewing machine!

Back to the Kilo TT, for $350 (shipping included in the price) the Kilo TT is a solid deal. I already have all the parts I need to make the bike a little more “upscale”. But being able to buy a complete, commuter track bike for under $400 is a great deal.

This hobby is getting pretty damn expensive and addictive.

Last day was today. Now I have one week of getting things in order and then, back on the grind.

Just sayin’…

It is 5:30AM on a Thursday morning. A warm splash of moon light through the window gently drapes the foot of the bed and fills the room with a beautiful soft glow. The lone, solemn drone of the a/c in the window is the welcome interuption in our otherwise unusually silent home. What makes this night special beyond others? My son, is asleep; a more telling description - he is knocked out!

I’m merely up out of habit and pleasantly thankful that Elijah is finally breaking me from this. We almost thought this day would never come; Elijah has shown incredible consistency with his daily habits and waking up 2-3 times a night was one of them.

It’s 5:45AM. I hear him getting restless, threatening to break the silence. But strangly, I don’t mind. A good night rest is all I’ve wanted for weeks now and tonight, I got one.

5:55AM. Lil’ Mel is still asleep. I’ve got a bottle prepped and prepared for him. It’s funny how the tides have turned. Now it is I who waits on him. Will he wake soon? Will he sleep for a another 30 minutes? an hour? two hours? I can barely contain myself; I’m tempted to just wake him and get it over with!

6:00AM. I should be sleeping! And that is exactly what I will do. Murphy’s law: he will wake up as soon as I publish this and close the laptop.

Edit - 6:05AM…feeding time.

Pete DiAntoni’s photography site is beautiful and refreshing. Simple, uncluttered navigation allows the focus to be on the work, not the technology used to build it. Nice work from the crew over at Defective Theatre.

If you know Diplo, then you can expect hotness from this. If you don’t give a listen. There isn’t much I can say about his style. It’s raw, it’s gritty, it’s hip hop, it’s rock, it’s electronic, it’s dope.

Rawk.

Thanks for the heads up Justin.

Edit - Scratch that. It looks like the mix has been removed. Sorry folks. Hit me if you need a copy.

When determining what makes a performance, sport coupe the BMW M3 is almost always used as the benchmark. Industry leading technology and performance, the M3 never fails at claiming top bragging rights for dominating the road and track. Tiff Needel gets the grand honor of taking this new brute out on the track for a proper thrashing. The sound of that V8 roaring is absolutely titillating.

Chris sent me some teaser pics of the prototype bike and I have to say, it’s looking extremely nice. Can’t wait to get mine.
